PROJECT „AIDA BLUE“ - WELLNESS AREA, 2010
Design and application of two wall installations: “Pier” and “Geisha”. “Pier” consists of pieces cut out of MDF that are finished with wood stain and directly applied to the wall. The work shows three geishas on a pier scooping water from a lake. The wall with the installation is the backdrop of the relaxation room of the spa area of the cruiser Aida Blue that is furnished with upholstery in red shades. |

“Geisha” is a work made of glass. It is positioned in an alcove at the front wall of a long corridor panelled with light and dark wood. The work has two levels. A clear security glass that covers the entire wall forms the background. Pieces of coloured glass are melted on it, that form a geisha wearing high stilt shoes. A blue glass covering about a third of the wall is fixed about 6 cm in front of the geisha creating the impression of room for the motif as a whole. |
