PROJECT „AIDA BLUE“ - WELLNESS AREA, 2010

Design and application of two wall installations: “Pier” and “Geisha”. “Pier” consists of pieces cut out of MDF that are finished with wood stain and directly applied to the wall. The work shows three geishas on a pier scooping water from a lake. The wall with the installation is the backdrop of the relaxation room of the spa area of the cruiser Aida Blue that is furnished with upholstery in red shades.

“Geisha” is a work made of glass. It is positioned in an alcove at the front wall of a long corridor panelled with light and dark wood. The work has two levels. A clear security glass that covers the entire wall forms the background. Pieces of coloured glass are melted on it, that form a geisha wearing high stilt shoes. A blue glass covering about a third of the wall is fixed about 6 cm in front of the geisha creating the impression of room for the motif as a whole.
